The Secret to Aging Well – The Five Tibetan Exercise Rites

Tibet and the Tibetans enjoy a long history and culture. However, according to the Dalai Lama, this unique cultural expression and heritage which includes Buddhist spirituality is facing the threat of extinction.

One way of preserving Tibet’s culture is through education and the spread of cultural expression,  as, for example,  the rapid spread of Tibetan Buddhism and the Way of Shambhala into Western countries, fueled by the avid interest of Western students hungry for genuine spiritual insight.

Random House has just shone the author’s spotlight on Carolinda Witt  and is promoting her new book and DVD entitled The 10-Minute Rejuvenation Plan T5T: The Revolutionary Exercise Program That Restores Your Body and Mind.

Carolinda Witt – The 10-Minute Rejuvenation Plan

Carolinda Witt simplifies these ancient rites and combines them with breathing, yoga, and exercise philosophies to create T5T.

Tibetan monks  practised the postures which  a retired British Army Colonel reported on during the 1930s, observing that even thought the monks were old, they appeared healthy and ageless.  He studied the 5 yoga postures and brought them back to the West – these became the Five Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation, still being practised today.

We can help in the preservation of Tibetan culture by doing the exercises and sharing with our circles the benefits of the exercise.  In this way, a “groundswell” of support will be  one of the more powerful ways to embrace and sustain a cause.
